About Campaign

We need your help to stay on the frontline. Everyday, our community cats face risks from bad human decisions, especially when there are complaints about them. The Cat Welfare Society is the intervening body tackling over 2000 such cat issues every year, by advocating humane solutions and preventing cats from getting impounded and culled.

Responding relentlessly to cases of complaints, hoarding, irresponsible breeding, neglect and abuse everyday costs the Society around $600,000 every year.

Last year, the national impoundment number for cats fell below 800, a far cry from the dark days when over 10,000 cats could be euthanised for no reason but existing. We cannot stop this crucial work.

Your help ensures that we can sterilise up to 5000 cats in a year and for our mediators to keep doing what they are doing to engage Town Councils, government agencies, estate managers, intolerant feedback providers and irresponsible cat owners.

Let's stop the bad decisions that result in unnecessary loss of lives together. Let's attack the issues at the source to give cats a fighting chance and help push our society further towards becoming a truly humane nation.
