How Your Donation Makes a Difference
My school bag is tearing apart and it does not smell good even after washing it a few times. Thank you for a nice new bag to start the school year and it makes me look forward to going to school.
I wear clothes which have small tears as they were from my older siblings. I have no shoes to go out and play in other than my school shoes. Thank you for my first brand new pair of shoes and clothes.
I did not know what proper breakfast till I came into the Breakfast Programme. I was given milk and sandwiches for a good start to the day. Thank you, I can now focus and my studies are improving.
I want to go to the after-school student care as I am lonely after school. I live with my dad who works very long hours. Thank you, I can now attend the student care with arranged bus transport.
About Campaignends 31 Dec 2018, 11:59 PM
These real situations affect our children emotionally. Carrying such burdens at their age often becomes overwhelming when their home circumstances can sometimes be challenging and complicated. They lack opportunities to nurture and fulfil their God-given potential nor do they have resources for things that peers their age have and take for granted - from basic life necessities like school bags and a proper breakfast, to enrichment classes, outings and family time.
This Christmas season, give a Gift of Love to enable children of all abilities at Canossaville to study, plat and grow together. Every gift matters and it will impact their entire life.
Your gift is extremely important because it offers immediate resources for our children. With your generosity, we are able to introduce programmes that help them improve literacy skills, explore creative talents and receive learning support they may require; opening up a world of possibilities.

About the Charity
Canossaville Children and Community Services (Canossaville) runs an inclusive Student Care Centre in the Aljunied-MacPherson area. Our programmes cater to both mainstream children, as well as those with mild-to-moderate additional needs, giving priority to the poorest of the poor living in the lower income neighbourhoods. We are open to all faiths and races. Aged between seven to twelve years old, our children are taught values and skills to prepare them for life. Under our "Formation of the Heart" programme, they are nurtured to be persons of integrity, committed to God and caring for others. Within a safe and value rich environment, every child is empowered to develop their God-given talents to the fullest. We also have a Child Development Unit set up this year, with a team of specialists comprising Social Workers, an Educational Psychologist, a Speech Language Therapist, and an Occupational Therapist to support children with additional needs. Founded by the Canossian Sisters in 1941, Canossaville is supported by the Ministry of Social and Family Development, National Council of Social Service and the Early Childhood Development Agency. It is also an approved Institute of Public Character and is authorized to receive tax-deductible donations.
