About Campaign

ends 28 Feb 2019, 11:59 PM
11 year-old Nancy* is from a single-parent home. Her mother struggles to raise her on the income she is receiving and sometimes moves from place to place as rent becomes too expensive, giving Nancy a feeling of insecurity. Nancy often starts the day without breakfast. She also struggles with her daily work and relies on support given at the student care centre.

These real situations affect our children emotionally. Carrying such burdens at their age often becomes overwhelming when their home circumstances can sometimes be challenging and complicated. They lack opportunities to nurture and fulfil their God-given potential nor do they have resources for things that peers their age have and take for granted - from basic life necessities like school bags and a proper breakfast, to enrichment classes, outings and family time.

This New Year, give a Gift of Love to enable children of all abilities at Canossaville to study, play and grow together. Every gift matters and it will impact their entire life.

Your gift is extremely important because it offers immediate resources for our children. With your generosity, we are able to introduce programmes that help them improve literacy skills, explore creative talents and receive learning support they may require; opening up a world of possibilities.

Email us at [email protected] if you are making your donation of behalf of someone else.

About the Charity

Canossaville Children and Community Services (Canossaville) runs Canossaville Preschool, Canossaville Student Care and Canossian Child Development Unit in the Aljunied-MacPherson area. Our programmes cater to both mainstream students, as well as those with hearing loss, giving priority to the poorest living in the lower income neighbourhoods. We are open to all faiths and races and every child is empowered to develop their God-given talents to the fullest.

Founded by the Canossian Sisters in 1941, Canossaville operates under the guidance of the Canossian Daughters of Charity. We are licensed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). Canossaville is also an approved Institute of Public Character (IPC) and is authorised to receive tax-deductible donations.
