St. John's Home has been caring for the needy and homeless elderly persons for 57 years. It's current land lease is expiring, and it is raising funds for a new building, so that elderly persons can age in comfort and dignity.
You can do your part. No amount is too small.
Together, let's help build a new Home for the more than 90 elderly persons of St. John's Home.
About The Charity
Established in December 1958, St. John's Home for Elderly Persons is a Sheltered Home for elderly persons who are ambulant and aged above 60.
Our mission is to provide shelter and care for the physical and spiritual needs of such elderly persons as have no home or suitable accommodation and no children or close relatives who have adequate facilities for looking after them. The Home is open to all regardless of race or creed.
St John's Home for Elderly Persons is not a government-funded organisation. We depend on the generosity of the public to continue our works.
Due to urban planning and the need to maximise land use, the Home is raising funds to construct a five-storey building, on one third of our existing land area. The estimated construction cost of the new building is $15 million.
We invite you to join us in this exciting new journey of building a new Home for the Elderly, so that our elderly residents will not be displaced when our land tenancy expires.
The Home is a recipient of the President's Award for Philanthropy 2014 (Non-profit).
