Our Campaign Story

ends 10 Oct 2021, 11:59 PM

Team D.A.R.E. will be taking part in the 2021 YMCA YFC programme. We are a team of year 4 students from Temasek Junior College that will be working with ACRES to make a difference for animals in Singapore.
Our team name, D.A.R.E., stands for
DEBUNK misconceptions about animal protection,
raise AWARENESS on issues surrounding animal cruelty cases happening both locally and globally,
REACH out to the community through our initiatives, and
ENCOURAGE the community to step up and take action towards protecting animals.
This ties in with ACRES's five focus areas- tackling wildlife trade, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, education, community outreach and promoting a cruelty-free living, which we have decided to focus on.

$10 a month can provide enrichment for animals at the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre (AWRC)
$20 a month can fund an outreach event on animal cruelty
$50 a month can fund a whole day of wildlife rescue
$100 a month can cover medical costs for a rescued animal
$300 a month can cover for 2 months of the rescue hotline mobile service
$500 a month can fund undercover animal crime investigations
$1950 a month can cover 1 rescue officer's basic salary
$3400 a month can cover land rental and utilities for 1 month
$1000 a month covers 1 month of veterinary costs

Thank you! Every dollar will help ACRES to plan and sustain our animal protection efforts and continue the organisation to end animal cruelty.

About The Charity

ACRES is a pioneering Singapore-based charity with a sole aim to advocate for an end to animal cruelty in our own backyard. With Singapore's first facility dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of animals rescued from the illegal wildlife trade and injured native wild animals we speak up for more animals via our five focus areas: Tackling Wildlife Crime in Singapore, Humane Education, Promoting Cruelty-Free Living, Community Outreach, and Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.

Since our founding in May 2001, ACRES has helped effect several environmental shifts that pushed Singapore forward in the animal protection movement. Alongside collaborative efforts with governmental agencies, we seek to nurture a responsible society from grassroots level to the individual homes where animals are treated with compassion and respect.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
