Our Campaign Story
ends 31 Oct 2022, 11:59 PMWe the team in Reading Intervention Services at Lakeside Family Services started "We Can Read" campaign to challenge our children and volunteers to read 1000 books during the campaign period. Through this, we hope to raise the awareness of "Joy of Reading" and becoming "lifelong learners".
Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope! As we work with young children from low income families, our goal has been to provide the 'Gift of Reading' by teaching them the relevant skills and strategies that are vital for reading using evidence based scientific approaches to learning catering to different styles and paces of learning.
We believe as we quote - "Today a reader, tomorrow a leader" -Margaret Fuller
Support us as we raise funds for the next generation. Every donation counts and no amount is too small. Thank you so much!
About Campaign
As a child, your dreams for the future were imaginative and boundless. Our fundraiser campaign, #ICAN____, aims to encourage children and youths to boldly declare their aspirations.
Last year, we raised over $115k which helped us to change the lives of more than 500 children and 250 youths. Help us achieve $300k this year to run enhanced programmes that will guide our children and youths' social and emotional development, and transform their character, develop confidence and competence. Our #ICAN____ fundraising campaign will be running from till 31 Oct 2022.
Will you help us inspire our children and youths to uncover their potential?
