Our Campaign Story

Hello, I'm Vanessa. Thanks for taking the time to visit my Giving.sg page. I'm raising $1,800 for Causes for Animals in Singapore, to help save the lives of abandoned animals.

As part of my Bat Mitzvah commitments, I work on a Tikun Olam Project (TOP). For my TOP, I have chosen to do two things:

(1) To do volunteer work at an animal shelter that I have identified called Causes for Animals in Singapore, and

(2) To raise money to support the shelter, which is why I have set up this page.

The TOP I have chosen is important to me because I have always loved animals. They have the right to live just like us, so I want to help them in any way I can.

What I am going to do to help? I am going to do volunteer work at the shelter, once a week for 2 months in January - February. I am going to help take care of the animals there. This will include cleaning the shelter grounds, showering the dogs and dog-walking.

In addition, when I have completed my period of volunteer work, I will write a brief report to summarise the difference I hope I made, and what I learned from the experience. This is something I would like to share with you.

Thank you very much for supporting me and Causes for Animals in Singapore.

Much love,

PS. My parents asked me to add:
