Our Campaign Story

ends 30 Dec 2016, 11:59 PM

I am running my 1st 100 mile ultra to raise awareness and funds for HCA as well as in memory of my daughter 1st anniversary being home with our Lord and her legacy in her fight and to keep going to the end.

Kristie was a client of HCA Star pals and she benefited in adding life to her days. We are thankful for HCA for supporting her and the family in the last portion of her journey and being able to spend it with her family at home. She has fought the good fight (of the terminal disease for 2 years), finished the race and claim the prize won for her.

With her are warriors we know and their care givers. The battle for children cancer is not just won by those who are healed but also by those who now rest. Like a battle, they keep going so that others have an opportunity to have more time with their loved ones.

Running a Ultra (or a marathon) is similar to the journey we have in life. We won't know the number of days nor will it be smooth. But we know that if we keep moving on through the course, we will finish the race and to finish it well. We never know when life ends, but we can do one thing (which is a liner by HCA as well) that is to 'add life to days, not days to life'.

We keep going .... for the caregivers, the clients and those who have gone thru this path.

I look forward for you to join us in this run in one way or another....... or to contribute to HCA.

Blessed day!

About The Charity

HCA Hospice Care (HCA) is Singapore's largest home hospice provider and has been a registered charity since 1989. The organisation provides comfort and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, nationality and financial status.

We understand the medical and psychological needs of patients, caregivers and their families. By managing our patients pain and other symptoms with specialised care and support, we enable them to spend their last days at home, in comfort and dignity, with their families and loved ones.

Additionally, we care for the caregivers by providing them with psychosocial support, practical training, and advice at all hours with our 24/7 hotline.

As all our services including home hospice service for adults are provided free-of-charge to all patients under our care, we rely on donations to support what we believe is a basic right: to die with dignity.

With your contribution and commitment to helping us, we are confident of achieving our goal to adding life to the days of patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
