Our Campaign Story

ends 03 May 2022, 11:59 PM

26 hours, 8 runners with 1 shared goal. This April, our Thaarumaaru Runners (TMR), will run 1 mile (1.61km) at the turn of every hour till midnight on 30 Apr 22 to raise S$65,000 for the Singapore Indian Education Trust ("SIET"). Over the 26-hour period, each of our runners will clock the marathon distance of 42km with barely any sleep or rest. Our charity run will be an unique challenge indeed! Do spread the message and donate generously! We look forward to your support!

Our Beneficiary
SIET is dedicated to helping our Indian students with their tertiary educational needs through the award of bursaries as well as interest free study loans. They are silent heroes lifting up our Indian students in need to fulfill their dreams and we hope this charity run will raise awareness and support for their cause.

Our Running Community
TMR is a ground-up movement founded in 2017 with the main objective of promoting health and fitness, and in particular, running amongst the Indian community in Singapore. Over the past 5 years, we have grown in strength and numbers and we are always on the lookout for ways to give back to our community. Earlier this year, through our mini charity drive, we ran and raised S$4,000 for a student in need for his degree course at the University of Tasmania, Australia. We hope this run will be able to raise more funds and help the wider community of Indian Tertiary students in Singapore.
