NatWest Markets is organising a Bowlathon in which teams from 3 countries will be competing to win donations for their selected charity! We are a team of 4 professionals in banking and will be doing our best for strikes and spares!
We chose to raise funds for Food Bank Singapore because that it is appalling that there is so much surplus food and food wastage in Singapore but yet some people still do not have enough to put food on the table. Together we can bridge the gap between waste and want.
About The Charity
The Food Bank Singapore acquires donated food from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, and makes it available to those in need through a network of member beneficiaries.
The Food Bank Singapore was set up by Nichol and Nicholas Ng, a pair of siblings running a food distribution business, FoodXervices Inc Pte Ltd. After observing the food industry for more than a decade, they realised the need for a food bank in Singapore. Founded in 2012, we were given charity status in 2012 and IPC status in 2015.
Our vision is to be the prevailing centralised coordinating organisation for all food donations and to play a key role in the reduction of food wastage within the whole supply chain.
We now have a total of 250 member beneficiaries that includes:
Family service centres (FSCs)
Various types of homes
Other voluntary welfare organizations (VWOs)
