Our Campaign Storyends 05 May 2021, 11:59 PM
The situation in India has reached worrying levels and cases are spiking daily!
Time is of essence! The faster we raise funds, the quicker Singapore Red Cross can secure essential equipment and for support to reach India.
The COVID19 pandemic has affected everyone globally. Different countries may be resourced differently to tackle the effects of this global pandemic.
Like many fellow Singaporeans like yourself, I am blessed to be living in Singapore where the pandemic is still within manageable control.
I appeal to you to help me support Singapore Red Cross in their global humanitarian efforts and providing whatever the people need in India.
Singapore Red Cross will do the difficult work in reaching them. I hope you can do the easier part of contributing to this campaign to aid their work.
Every small donation goes a long way! Let's help others when they need us the most!
100% of funds in this campaign will go to Singapore Red Cross!
(Note: Donations to overseas efforts are not tax-deductible. If you'd like to also make a donation to help our seniors and low-income families in Singapore and receive 250% tax exemption, we invite you to do so here: https://s.giving.sg/vsB2G6y)
Updates as of 12 May 2021: Since the launch of its public appeal on 28 April, the Singapore Red Cross has received over S$3.2 million in donations.
The first tranche of aid, worth about SGD 3.6 million, includes medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, and ventilators to directly support patients and healthcare workers in hospitals.

SRC is fundraising to deliver assistance and support communities in India, affected or at risk of being affected by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
Medical equipment and supplies, such as ventilators, oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators, are urgently needed. In the first instance, we have purchased and will deliver five ventilators to community hospitals in New Delhi through the Indian Red Cross Society. As we raise more funds, we can provide more lifesaving medical resources.
'The needs are immense, and we look forward to working with more organisations to support the relief efforts in India. Our response plan will be adjusted based on ongoing developments, evolving needs and regular assessment of the situation,' said Mr Benjamin William.
