Our Campaign Story

ends 05 Jan 2021, 11:59 PM

"Life changes once you' re diagnosed with cancer, regardless the type or stage." That's what Jonichiro (Jonathan TT Lim) said when reflecting upon his journey with cancer. It's a reminder that death is imminent and you have to work harder to live just a bit longer.

Jonathan fought a brave battle with colon cancer for over 2 and a half years. Cancer took him away from us but in our hearts, we know that he did not lose this battle. He lived, loved, played and even worked while undergoing cancer treatments. We are immensely grateful to the team of dedicated and expert oncologists, surgeons and nurses who made this possible.

We hope more cancer patients will get access to medical and psychological support through NCCS's services. We wish them the opportunity to live life to the fullest while going through the challenges cancer brings.

"Life is long if it is full, and it gets filled when the mind returns its own good to itself and passes over into control of itself" quote from Seneca.

In Jonathan's memory, we would like to fundraise for the NCCS Cancer Fund. No cancer patient should have to go through this journey alone.

The background melody is an excerpt of an original composition by Jonathan, tentatively titled "Echoes".

Update: Original album of piano compositions including this piece has been released on Youtube / Spotify. https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_ltMM706sf1MDFQOZSuhthkG2r_4--Ktrw
Relevant proceeds will be contributed to this campaign.
