Singapore Botanic Gardens
About Campaignends 30 Nov 2016, 12 AM
The Singapore Botanic Gardens (the Gardens) has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site at the 39th session of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) in Germany, Bonn.
As the first and only tropical botanic garden on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, this provides an opportunity for the Gardens to fulfil its role in plant conservation and connecting people with our natural heritage.
The Gardens’ rich heritage would enable us to promote environmental stewardship and create a sense of appreciation for nature. This can be achieved through volunteer programmes, botanical research, performances in our Park, etc.

We hope to cultivate a love for the environment, promote a sense of ownership, and encourage the community to play its part in preserving Singapores legacy as a lush and vibrant City In A Garden.
