This is Sunflower Childcare Group's 5th year raising funds to help the beneficiaries of Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF). Over the years, we have raised close to $100K to help children and families affected by cancer.
In 2018, we organised our first private Hair for Hope Satellite Event, raising more than $40,000. We looked forward to the event this year, but we were disappointed to hear that Hair for Hope is taking a break due to COVID-19. However, this does not stop us from wanting to support CCF.
We are delighted to be part of The Hope Train Campaign. Through this meaningful online fundraising campaign, we will like to remind our preschool children, staff and their family members about the importance of continuously playing our parts in building a community of support for children and families affected by cancer, even during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.
We know that while coping with the emotional and financial stresses due to a childhood cancer diagnosis in the family, CCF's beneficiaries now have to also cope with the economic and psychosocial consequences of the coronavirus outbreak. We hope that the donations raised will be able to relieve some of the challenges that they are going through amidst the COVID-19 pandemic
