Our Campaign Story
ends 31 Aug 2019, 11:59 PMDover Park Hospice's annual fundraiser this year looks forward to an evening of Jam, Jive and Jazz, where we celebrate life and the possibilities it brings! The gala dinner will include a sumptuous 4-course dinner crafted by the resident chefs of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, as well as exciting performances, which includes Dover Park Hospice GEMS Showchoir made up of volunteers. It would be a night of glamour and gaiety, fine food and wine.
With the operation of our new Day Care Centre this April, we have extended our services in providing integrated care for our patients to ensure continuity of care in a seamless manner over time and different care settings. As we prepare for our move to a new facility at HealthCity Novena in 2021, we will double our inpatient capacity from 50 to 100 bed and will expand our home care and day care services to serve more patients.
With these expansions to meet the increased demand of palliative care, our operating expenditure is estimated to be $18.3 million per year. Through this annual event which is our biggest fundraiser, we hope to raise $1.3 million to subsidise the fees of our patients from the hospice, home care and day care programme so as to enable them to continue receive the care needed at different trajectories of the illnesses.
No contribution is too small. We hope you will be able to support us in our cause. Thank you!
About The Charity
Dover Park Hospice was founded in 1992 as a secular, nonprofit organisation to meet the growing need in Singapore for hospice care for terminally-ill patients. It is Singapore's first purpose-built hospice, designed to provide a serene environment close to nature.
Open to everyone regardless of age, race, religion or income level, Dover Park Hospice is dedicated to meeting the unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those who are nearing the end of life's journey. The goal is to enhance the living, comfort the dying and support the grieving with compassion and dignity.
To cover its operating expenditure which is estimated at $19.3 million per year, Dover Park Hospice relies a lot on fundraising activities and kind donations from generous well-wishers and corporations.
