I am Steven Lee, 69 years old, an old boy of Boys' Town, and the former President of Boys' Town Alumni. I've successfully completed the 200km run over 6 days in the GlobalLimits Sao Tome in South Africa from 15 to 20 Feb.
Grateful to Boys' Town, I dedicate this event to Boys' Town and look to raise funds to support the operations of Boys' Town, a charity that supports children and youth in need.
In order to help others, I need to keep myself fit and healthy. In early 1980's, I started to join a running club - MacRitchie Runners 25. I hope through the sport events that I participate in, I would be able to gather support from the public, friends and people surrounding to help Boys' Town, and give back what I'd received during my days in Boys' Town from 1967 to 1969.
I am excited to share a series of events that I will participate from Feb to Dec this year :
1) GlobalLimits Sao Tome South Africa - The Hemisphere Crossing 200km 13 Feb - 22 Feb 20 (Completed!)
2) Mount Siku, Malaysia 29 Feb - 1 Mar 20
3) Mount Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia 26 - 29 Mar 20
4) Raid Vietnam 220km 25 Apr - 6 May 20
5) Gold Coast Marathon 4th, Australia 4 - 5 Jul 20
6) Merapoh Trekking, Malaysia 7 - 10 Aug 20
7) The Way of Legends, Burgos, Spain 18 - 26 Sep 20
8) KAEM, South Africa 29 Oct - 8 Nov 20
9) MacRitchie Reservoir Park 27 Dec 20
Please support me in achieving these milestones!
About The Charity
Boys' Town is a charity founded by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel in 1948. We first began as a residential care for war-torn orphans, imparting education and life skills to them. Over the years, we have expanded to provide a continuum of services and become a one-stop children and youth centre. Boys' Town's services now include residential, fostering, youth outreach, adventure therapy and clinical intervention.
Boys' Town serves both boys and girls, from infants to young adults. We help children and youth who come from disadvantaged and disengaged families who may have faced hardship resulting from difficult home situations, financial struggles, abandonment, and abuse. Each year, Boys' Town works with close to 1,500 children and youths.
With 72 years dedicated to the social mission, Boys' Town equips the children and youths in need with the skills they need to become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.
