Our Campaign Storyends 04 Jul 2018, 11:59 PM
I have been a kennel volunteer at SOSD for over a year now and each time I go to the shelter I am overwhelmed and consistently inspired at the passion and dedication of the volunteers who help run the organization. I will be cycling from Zurich to Milan at the end of June and into July, which will take me over 400km and up to nearly 7000ft, so by all means not easy (I much prefer going downhill than uphill) so I'd like to raise some money for this amazing charity in the process.
No amount is too small to help us eliminate cruelty and abandonment of animals, enhance their welfare, and improve the lives of animals and humans, through rescue, education and advocacy.
About The Charity
SOSD is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the welfare of Singapore's many street dogs.
Our mission is to eliminate cruelty to and abandonment of animals, enhancing their welfare, and improving the lives of animals and humans, through rescue, education and advocacy.
SOSD relies on the generosity of the public to support its shelters at Sungei Tengah and Jurong Island. Our expenses have gone up drastically with the increase in rental, hire of staff to run both shelters and implementation of the Trap-Neuter-Release- Management ("TNRM") programme.
You can make a difference. Your kind donation will help in providing shelter, food, medicine, veterinary care and love to the rescued dogs.
Your donation is eligible for 250% tax rebate. Kindly provide your name as per NRIC and your tax reference (NRIC/FIN).
Donations received in GivingSG will be pooled with other donations and be used to provide food, medicine, veterinary care and support for the dogs under SOSD's care. Donations may also be used to pay for other operational costs of SOSD's shelters, such as utilities, water, rental and transport costs and costs and expenses of its TNRM programme. This is inclusive of donations raised in all of SOSD's campaigns.
