Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Dec 2022, 11:59 PM

People with disabilities report experiencing frequent mental distress nearly five times more frequently than people without disabilities.
When faced with a stressful situation, everyone reacts differently.
How you react to stressful situations, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, can be influenced by your background, support systems (e.g., family or friends), financial situation, health and emotional background, community, and a variety of other factors.

Isolation, disconnect, disrupted routines, and reduced health services all had a significant impact on the lives and mental well-being of people with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.People with disabilities may react strongly to crisis stress, especially if they are also at a higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19.

Your donation will go towards our StrongMindsStrongBody Programme which uses a holistic approach to restoring, improving, and protecting health. The program divides health into three domains: physical, mental, and emotional. Through this programme, our friends with disabilities are empowered with the skills, mental strength and knowledge to build stronger minds and better, healthier habits and discover many ways life can be enhanced through health and wellness activities.

Thank you.
