Our Campaign Story
ends 22 Aug 2021, 11:59 PMHello, we are the CHIJ SJC Netball Team.
We are here because we are pledging to run a combined distance of 1000 km in the month of August to raise funds for COVID-19 relief efforts.
As athletes, we often think of our own health and performance. As we run (the rare occasion when we experience oxygen deprivation) for this campaign, our thoughts are with the many individuals suffering from COVID-19 and cannot breathe.
We seek your donations, which will directly support Singapore Red Cross's efforts to deliver much needed medical equipment and oxygen supplies to COVID-19 patients in the region. You can find more information on their COVID-19 relief efforts below.
A gentle reminder to seek parental consent before donating if you are below 18 years old.
From the bottom of our hearts (and soles!), thank you.
*Edit: Thank you so so much! While we have exceeded our initial target, we still hope to raise as much as we can for this cause.

The Singapore Red Cross is raising funds for medical equipment, oxygen supplies, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to support communities in South East Asia and South Asia.
In view of the escalating COVID-19 cases over the last few months, the Singapore Red Cross has initiated a public appeal "COVID-19 International Response Fund" to raise funds to deliver assistance and support communities in South Asia and Southeast Asia, that are affected.
Countries in South Asia have seen daily cases jumping dramatically in recent weeks. The rise of the more transmissible Delta-variant is also another reason for the surge in COVID-19 infections across the countries.
As announced at SRC's media briefing on 6 July, The Singapore Red Cross has already delivered 634 Oxygen concentrators, 10 ventilators, 351,000 surgical masks, 13,000 reusable face masks, 1,000 PPE gowns, and 150,000 latex gloves, to Afghanistan, Bhutan, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Philippines and Sri Lanka.
SRC has also contributed S$125,000 for the purchase of medical supplies, and basic necessities for affected families in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
More details on the appeal are available on redcross.sg
