Our Campaign Storyends 01 Jun 2020, 11:59 PM
this year hasn't started off very good for a lot of people, and some are harder hit by the current situation than others. i guess there are a lot of people around who want to offer some sort of help to others who might be going through a difficult time, but are just not sure how to
so here's a little something that we can all contribute to. we definitely can afford to sacrifice a bubble tea or a starbucks for someone else to get another meal or a loaf of bread or some other form of help. it's going to run for a few months (and i think the repercussions people face will go on for that long or even longer) so you could also choose to donate multiple times (eg maybe say for every five times you want to indulge yourself, give one up)
i dont wanna set a minimum amount but as this is for a bigger campaign by comm chest, theres a min $10 donation that im unable to change :') as such if you're willing to put in $2 or $5 or any amount less than $10 because it's a bit much, just lemme know :)) i'll top up the remaining to make it $10 :)
in any case thanku so much for reading this and thanku again if you've put in a little contribution or spread the word :)
(and thanku @dallasclayton for that drawing and all others and for making it free)
The evolving COVID-19 situation has affected Singaporeans in one way or another, including individuals who are facing loss of income or families that are struggling with additional caregiving duties and additional expenses for essential items.
The Courage Fund was first established in 2003 when Singapore was hit by the SARS outbreak. Fellow Singaporeans donated generously to the Fund to support those who were affected by the outbreak. In this same spirit of uniting the community to support one another through difficult times, Community Chest is rallying the community to provide relief and support to those affected by the current COVID-19 situation.
Where Will Your Donations Go?
Donations will go towards supporting and providing relief to vulnerable individuals and families, including healthcare workers, frontline workers and volunteers, affected by the COVID-19 situation. Find out more about The Courage Fund COVID-19 Relief Schemes and their eligibility criteria at https://www.ncss.gov.sg/thecouragefund.
