Our Campaign Storyends 05 May 2017, 11:59 PM
On the occasion of our 10th year anniversary, our team of 7 brave souls are going all out to participate in the grueling Spartan Challenge! This consists of running 5km and overcoming 23+ obstacles. If a member cannot clear an obstacle, 30 burpees are in store before continuing with the race. We have been training extremely hard together as a team, please support us on the 6th of May at 3:15pm.
We are pleased to be fundraising for a deserving, local charity called SPD (formally known as the society for the physically disabled). 100% of all donations received go towards their wonderful cause. Your contribution will help people with disabilities gain independence and self-reliance through the provision of technological rehabilitation, education, transport, employment and social support.
About The Charity
Founded in November 1964, SPD is a voluntary welfare organisation that supports people with physical, sensory (visual and hearing impairments) and developmental disabilities by promoting their interest, welfare and advancement so as to develop their potential to the fullest. We now serve over 5,000 people with disabilities of all ages through programmes and services that focus on these areas:
1. Children & Youth: Focus on education and development
2. Adults: Focus on Independence and employment
3. Elderly: Focus on independence
We develop programmes and services to help people with disabilities become more independent and self-reliant so that they can lead more fulfilling lives.
As we have been awarded with an Institution of Public Character (IPC) status, all cash donations to SPD are eligible for tax-deduction of 2.5 times the donation amount.
