Our Campaign Story
ends 22 Oct 2022, 11:59 PMHi we are a group of students from Hai Sing Catholic School and we decided to start a fundraising for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The reason why we decided on this campaign is because across the years, we have seen many scenarios on stray animals being abused and it aches our heart to see such cute animals being mistreated.
Did you know that OVER 100 ANIMALS are taken in by SPCA every month? Most of these animals are abandoned or abused by their owners. SPCA would then give these animals a home and take care of them, as well as educate the public on the issue of animal cruelty.
Therefore, just one small donation can greatly help the SPCA on their mission in saving more animals. Thank you and God bless!
About Campaign
Your donations towards this campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Tote Board and the government under the Enhanced Fundraising Programme. Double your impact today!
2021 was a challenging year as we navigated the challenges poised by Covid-19 and were unable to organise many of our large-scaled fundraising programmes.
The Society's services require approximately $3 million a year to run. Relying mainly on kind donations, your support is crucial in helping us continue providing protection and care to the animals in our community and to aid our efforts to further raise standards of animal welfare in Singapore.
We hope that you will consider making a donation to the SPCA. All our animal welfare work in 2021 would not have been possible without supporters like you. Through your help, the lives of countless animals have been transformed for the better.
On behalf of the animals, we truly appreciate your kind support and generosity.
About The Charity
The SPCA is a registered non-profit animal welfare charity with IPC status, and our two main objectives are to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals.
The SPCA is not funded by the government. Relying mainly on kind donations from the public and fundraising to support the shelter and clinic, inspectorate work and animal rescue services, as well as other initiatives such as our foster care programme, sterilisation programme for community animals, and education and outreach efforts.
Over 100 animals are taken in by the Society every month. Most of these animals are abandoned, unwanted, abused, sick/injured or lost. Our officers have rescued numerous animals, like Gemma, Aiden and Cookie, across Singapore (see above video).
To carry out our animal welfare work, we require over S$4,000,000 annually.
You can make a difference to the animals.
Your kind donation will directly impact upon our operations in providing shelter, food, medical attention and love to the rescued animals that walk through our doors each day.
Your donations are eligible for 250% tax deduction.
