Our Campaign Story

ends 04 Oct 2018, 11:59 PM

For the last 4 years, SOSD has been looking after the welfare of the community dogs in Pulau Ubin, frequently needing to evacuate ill, injured or unsterilized dogs to seek treatment and such.

Last weekend, we got a call from Lathapandi's caregiver on the island. It seems that she might have gotten snagged while having a romp in the forest, and the wound has gotten too large by the time anyone managed to get to her. We managed to gather volunteers to help evacuate her the next day, and she's now safe at the vet.

Lathapandi needed to undergo surgery to clean out her wound thoroughly, and some stitches to expedite recovery of the wound. The initial surgery already costs close to $1000, and including hospitalization and bandaging materials, we are expecting her bills to hit more than $2000 for her wound to heal completely.

Do help us, so that we can continue to help the community dogs in Pulau Ubin! Thank you for your generosity!

About The Charity

SOSD is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the welfare of Singapore's many street dogs.

Our mission is to eliminate cruelty to and abandonment of animals, enhancing their welfare, and improving the lives of animals and humans, through rescue, education and advocacy.

SOSD relies on the generosity of the public to support its shelters at Sungei Tengah and Jurong Island.

You can make a difference. Your kind donation will help in providing shelter, food, medicine, veterinary care and love to the rescued dogs.

Donations received in GivingSG will be pooled with other donations and be used to provide food, medicine, veterinary care and support for the dogs under SOSD's care. Donations may also be used to pay for other operational costs of SOSD's shelters, such as utilities, water, rental and transport costs and costs and expenses of its TNRM programme. This is inclusive of donations raised in all of SOSD's campaigns.

Your donation details will be submitted to IRAS automatically by SOSD.
