In Cambodia, access to safe and sustainable drinking water and adequate sanitation and hygiene facilities remains a challenge, particularly for families in rural areas. Polluted ponds and rivers remain the main source of water for cleaning, bathing and drinking, and access to latrines and hand washing facilities in the home and at school are limited.
In schools, children drink water directly sourced from the well, which is ridden with bacteria and virus, leaving them vulnerable to diseases such as diarrhea.
IMPROVE HEALTH FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN THROUGH PROVIDING TREATED WATER.
Operation Hope Foundation operates community development projects in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. For each supported school, they will build a water system with water pumped from underground, install a filter and UV steriliser to clean the water, and twenty taps for school children to access the treated water.
One water system cost $3,600. Work with me to provide TWO water filtration systems for school children to drink safe and clean water! Your donation of any amount will be pooled with other donors.
Operation Hope Foundation is a Christian charity established in 2001 in Singapore.
We focus on achieving high benefit-to-cost ratio for both our donors and beneficiaries. Hence, we have a very hands-on approach to projects which we own and run.
Your donation will go toward supporting the operations of OHF.
