Last 2 days (31st Aug and 1st Sep) for our Primary 3 to Primary 6 boys to run on the field before assembly! One lap around the field is approximately 250m. Each pupil is entitled to a maximum of 10 rounds per run. As our pupils celebrate the effort of running, the school parents are invited to donate $1 for every lap completed. Our target is to complete 7916 laps (which totals up to approximately 1979km) and raise $7916 before the Rio Paralympics Opening Ceremony on 7th September 2016.
Creating opportunities for Singaporeans with disabilities is at the heart of everything we do. At the 8th ASEAN Para Games 2015 in Singapore SNPC sent it's largest contingent ever of 156 athletes, who made Singapore proud by winning a record 63 medals , including 24 Golds, 17 Silvers and 22 Bronzes. At the ultimate competitive level, the Paralympics, swimmer Yip Pin Xiu won a gold medal and broke a meet record for her event in Beijing in 2008, and in London in 2012, Laurentia Tan won a Silver medal and a Bronze in equestrian. For many others, sports mean everything for them. All this would not have been possible for them without the support of SNPC. We are a charity and rely on donations to do this. SNPC is appealing to you to please support us in our mission so that we can continue to empower our athletes, Singapore's very own heroes and champions.
