Our Campaign Storyends 12 Sep 2021, 11:59 PM
In the past 18 months, we have seen amazing acts of compassion from our frontline workers putting themselves at risk for others. We have seen many small random acts of kindness in our community, and seen our everyday heroes adapting to the new normal. This pandemic certainly did not make it easy for us, and I am utterly thankful for another day to be here, to be able to breathe deeply, move freely, play wholeheartedly and love unconditionally. But not everyone is as fortunate.
Every August, I love to complete a round-island ride with my partner Zhih, to celebrate another revolution around the sun. This year, I thought I would give back and do good while doing what I love. I'm turning 27, and hoping to raise $2700 for Operation Hope this month. I will commit to ride 270km (2 round-island rides) and will throw in a challenge for myself - to swim a total of 27,000m within the month.
A little donation goes a long way to give hope to the needy communities in Cambodia and Nepal. Rice up for the families in Cambodia ($50 is all it takes to feed a family of 4!) and provide a breath of hope for Nepal.
About OHF Child Program
- Prey Veng, Cambodia. We run a children's home with 100 children.
- Pokhara, Nepal. We have 40 children in a rented space in Kathmandu.
- To ensure these children stay in school instead of removing them to work, we provide a bimonthly supply of staples and annual package of school uniforms and materials.
Thank you for your support & generosity :')
