Our Campaign Story
ends 10 Nov 2018, 11:59 PMReMoved follows the emotional journey of a nine-year-old girl who is taken from her abusive birth home and placed in the tumultuous foster care system.
The ReMoved Films are being created with the intent to bring light to the often-unknown subjects of Foster Care and Child Abuse/Neglect. The films educate those who are learning, while simultaneously identifying with those who understand all too well.
The ReMoved films are produced by Nathanael & Christina Matanick, co-directed by Nathanael Matanickand Tony Cruz, and written by Christina Matanick.
LCCS goal is to hold an event to screen the films to raise awareness and funds and to also encourage people with the means to open up their homes to children in need and show how they can help give hope to a child.
"It would be impossible to fully understand the life and emotions of a child going through the foster care system, but this short narrative film portrays that saga in a poetic light, with brushes of fear, anger, sadness, and a tiny bit of hope." Santa Barbara Independent
