Our Campaign Storyends 29 Nov 2019, 11:59 PM
Knowing my family history, chances are one day I will be fighting a battle against cancer. So, I thought I might as well get in the game early and start fighting it for others.
With a goal to raise S$ 5,000 for the Singapore Cancer Society, a charitable organization that provides educational, financial, and emotional supports to cancer patients, I pledge to run a full marathon at the Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon on 30 November 2019.
Join me by donating what you can to the cause, as I get my butt off the couch and attempt for what would be my most meaningful contribution to society.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
About The Charity
Established in 1964, Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded voluntary welfare organisation which is dedicated to minimising the impact of cancer in Singapore through the provision of cancer treatment subsidies, financial and welfare aid to needy cancer patients, home hospice care services for terminally-ill cancer patients, as well as rehabilitation support programmes for recovering cancer patients and cancer survivors . In addition, the Society also provides free cancer screening services and promotes cancer awareness and prevention through its public education and community outreach programmes. Annually, the SCS helps more than 1,000 needy cancer patients and reaches out to more than 50,000 individuals through its cancer screening, public educational and community outreach programmes.
