www.thebasementassembly.com is proud to partner with
QYO for a fundraising Instagram livestream on @thisisqyo.

We are raising money for the #WeCareSG campaign of the South Central Community Family Service Centre, which is helping over 50,000 families who can't afford a home and live in HDB rental flats.
Already in a dire situation before the COVID-19 crisis, these families need even more support today.

About Campaign

Help our low income families survive Covid-19! Those who CAN, help those who NEED!

We are all feeling the impact of Covid-19 and no one is spared. But as often in crises, the vulnerable spiral down to serious conditions as they are ill-equipped to cope. We are fortunate that our government has been proactive in minimising the economic destruction of Covid-19; however, as with all broad policies and aid, the most vulnerable often do not receive enough.

With this #WeCareSG movement, we're calling for everyone who can afford to do without it, to donate their $600 Solidarity Payment to help serve the most vulnerable.

100% of your generous redirected government support will be distributed to the over 50,000 families who can't afford a home and live in HDB rental flats. Dealing with basic needs, priority will be given to families with young children, single parents and the elderly.

During this time, a spirit of unity is just as important as the assistance given. We hope a significant number of people will join us in this movement to help ensure that no one is left behind!

If you're on social media, post a photo of yourself with a sign saying #WeCareSG and tag us so your beneficiaries know you're thinking of them!

This movement is led by South Central Community Family Service Centre, in partnership with participating organisations.

About The Charity

Formerly known as Bukit Ho Swee Family Service Centre, South Central Community Family Service Centre (SCC) provides support to the low-income and vulnerable families in our community. While giving support to families who seek help in financial, social or relationship issues, we encourage community self-help and cooperation.

Our Vision: Poverty Transformation With-in Empowered Communities

What We Do:
As a community enabler committed to supporting families breaking out of poverty cycle, SCC connects and partners the community in building empathy and ownership by unlocking the community's strengths through:

a. Co-creating opportunities and resources that enable low-income communities towards financial self-sufficiency.

b. Building a neighbourhood that looks out for the safety, care, and education of vulnerable children.

c. Leveraging assets to activate community mutual help through social connections and inclusion of people from different social classes, ethnicity, and ages coming together to help one other.
