Our Campaign Story

ends 27 Aug 2020, 11:59 PM

We are childhood friends Jia Feng and Alicia, we are rising sophomores at Stevenson School and Singapore American School, respectively. PUSH UPS FOR THE COURAGE FUND is a FITNESS FOR GOODNESS campaign, where we are using fitness to give back to our community.

This campaign is a 3-week PUSH UP - PLEDGE - DONATE campaign. Here, we invite participants and donors to get fit by doing push ups daily, get pledges of $1/$2/$5 per 10 push ups achieved from friends and family, and donate the proceeds to The Courage Fund.

During this difficult Covid-19 pandemic times, The Courage Fund is focused on helping healthcare workers and frontline workers who provide essential services with high concentration of public contact. Services such as medical help, cleaning, security, private hires, delivery, repairs works, caregiving and social welfare, all of which are a lifeline to many of us. This cause really resonates with us. We encourage you to join us to stay fit while helping those that are helping us stay safe and healthy.

Please Push Up for The Courage Fund. Follow us on IG @pushupcourage. Thank you.

About Campaign

The evolving COVID-19 situation has affected Singaporeans in one way or another, including individuals who are facing loss of income or families that are struggling with additional caregiving duties and additional expenses for essential items.

The Courage Fund was first established in 2003 when Singapore was hit by the SARS outbreak. Fellow Singaporeans donated generously to the Fund to support those who were affected by the outbreak. In this same spirit of uniting the community to support one another through difficult times, Community Chest is rallying the community to provide relief and support to those affected by the current COVID-19 situation.

Where Will Your Donations Go?

Donations will go towards supporting and providing relief to vulnerable individuals and families, including healthcare workers, frontline workers and volunteers, affected by the COVID-19 situation. Find out more about The Courage Fund COVID-19 Relief Schemes and their eligibility criteria at https://www.ncss.gov.sg/thecouragefund.
