Project Celestial aims to empower underprivileged families and youth through supporting Beyond Social Services' community-building efforts. We believe everyone has the potential and responsibility to lead and create the kind of community they want to live in regardless of their family background, education or past.
On top of raising funds to support Beyond Social Services' families and youths, we are working to
ONE: Dispel common misconceptions and raise awareness regarding underprivileged families and youths.
TWO: Engage with families and organise activities that teach valuable life skills and build a sense of community.
Project Celestial is a current YFC-YMCA team, founded in 2019.
Beyond Social Services aims to help children and youth from underprivileged families. It focuses on community-building for a virtuous cycle of self-improvement, and on engaging the families themselves to improve their own living circumstances.
Beyond Social Services has programmes that are interventional in nature and those which help their families and youth become more self-sufficient in the long run.
Beyond Social Services believes in youth as a way to help their families break from the poverty cycle. They do this by providing a support network for these children and youth, such as a theatre programme, learning programmes (LIFE) and community improvement initiatives. These programmes help youth develop valuable life skills and grow as future leaders.
About The Charity
Beyond serves disadvantaged young people and their families to move them beyond their problems. We want to develop young people who respect the law, value education and seek to become responsible persons.
Keeping young lives on track is about building a community where they can grow, contribute and believe that they are a part of. Beyond works to build inclusive communities where young people, local neighbourhoods, and wider society, can come together to share their gifts and cooperate on resolving their issues.
We value inter-organisational collaboration & will steadily expand by building networks of individuals and organisations that contribute towards our vision. We believe that our target group always benefits when more members of the community take an active interest in their well-being.
