Our Campaign Story
ends 31 Mar 2023, 11:59 PMWe are grateful that God has provided for PLMGS(S) abundantly in our history of 107 years. We are looking forward to experiencing His amazing grace again this year, especially through the Methodist Walk 2023 that will be conducted in a hybrid format of a Pre-Walk (1-25 March 2023) and a Live Walk on 25 March 2023.
The theme of Methodist Walk 2023 is A Million for a Million. Each school within the Methodist Schools' community will be doing our part to walk a million kilometers and to raise least a million dollars for the schools.
We will launch Methodist Walk 2023 in PLMGS(S) on 16 Jan 2023. Our target is to have our staff and PL-Lites raise $60,000. In addition, from 1 March 2023 to 25 March 2023, we encourage students, parents, staff and well-wishers to walk at least 2 km a day (a total of 60,000km as a school). We will be using 100% of the funds raised to benefit our PL-Lites, through the improvement of our Agape Concert Hall.
The Agape Concert Hall has been the venue where our students practise and perform during school events and competitions such as the Singapore Youth Festival. After nearly 20 years of usage, the air-conditioners are due for replacement. The first phase will include replacing one of the two AHU which will cost $400,000 based on initial estimation. The $60,000 donation that we raise will go towards paying for part of this expenditure.
We look forward to your generous support to this meaningful cause that will benefit all the students in PLMGS(S).
