Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Jul 2021, 11:59 PM

The COVID-19 pandemic caused shutdowns across the world, with people experiencing drastic dips in income and financial stability, and some even losing their jobs overnight.

Together with YMCA of Singapore, Park Hotel Group (PHG) has established the Uplift Fund to support individuals who have lost their jobs or faced a personal income loss of at least 30% due to the COVID-19 crisis.

PHG is running a dollar-for-dollar matching campaign for donations made by our team members to support the Uplift Fund. This page is for PHG team members only and team members are encouraged to make their voluntary contributions through this page so that donations can be tracked and matched.

Priority is given to the following groups:
a) individuals from the Hospitality and Food and Beverages (F&B) sectors;
b) main caregivers with extended family and/or special needs family members as well as those with chronic health conditions; and
c) those who have not benefited from other COVID-19 national relief schemes.

Applicants will receive a one-time relief amount of between S$500 and S$1,000, with a potential renewal of S$500 after three months.

How can PHG team members help?
Any amount you choose to give is greatly appreciated. 100% of your donation goes into the Uplift Fund and every dollar will be matched by Park Hotel Group.

All donations of S$50 and above are eligible for 250% tax deduction.

About The Charity

*COVID-19 Update: Due to COVID-19, many vulnerable communities face new challenges. Fundraising has also become exceptionally difficult. We would like to make an appeal to all to join us in our efforts in reaching out during these tough times. Your donation will fund new initiatives and existing programmes that support these communities. Please read "Our Programmes" for more information on these programmes.

The YMCA of Singapore stands to champion, challenge and train youth to become independent and effective contributors to an inclusive society.

Our "YMCA Strong" campaign is a statement of our desired outcome for all we serve - to give our clients a hand up, not simply a handout, so that each one will be strengthened to reach their potential.

Our programmes range from training and employing youth with special needs to mobilising and training youth leaders and volunteers to serve the needy in society.

Fundraising can help to raise more and change more lives.
