My name is Ploy. I'm originally from Bangkok, Thailand, but currently working and living in Singapore.
I started learning watercolour painting a few weeks back and I really enjoy it. So I thought I would utilise this skill to help raise fund for people in need. This is my first ever charity project, and I aim to run this throughout my life journey, so your support really means a lot to me and the beneficiaries. This is the platform serves to remind all of us that we can do our part to make someone's life a little better. All proceeds go to Community Chest to help children with special needs and adults with disabilities.
Here are the steps:
1. Visit my facebook page: www.facebook.com/paintforcharity. There, you can browse all the paintings we have in catalogue. New design will be updated on the page weekly.
2. Once you have chosen the painting that you'd like, you can make the donation via GIVE.ASIA. Make sure to specify which particular painting you'd like to have.
3. I'll take about 2-3 weeks depending on the current demand to paint your order.
4. I'll notify you once the painting is ready. And we can arrange for a pick-up time and location in CBD.
And that's it! It's so easy to share your Wonderful day with people who need it the most. Why not do it today!
In five years' time, about 9,500 adults with autism will outlive their families and require support in their daily living. This is a concern for family members about what will happen to their loved ones with autism when they are no longer able to take care of them.
As parents grow older, they want what all parents want for their children - to see them being able to live meaningfully engaged and happy. At present, we do not have a specialised home catered for adults with autism.
Targeted for completion in 2018, Compassvale Bow Adult Disability Home is the first purpose-built residential facility in Singapore to meet escalating demand. Join us to build them a home today! Double your efforts as your donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by our kind donor, up to $50,000.
Community Chest, alongside The Local People and Gushcloud are set to take over Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay's latest venue: the Esplanade Annexe Studio, for a celebration of the arts and inclusiveness. The weekend event on 24th (Sat) and 25th September (Sun) brings together an array of local artists and craftspeople. Funds raised will go towards the building of the Adult Disability Home for Autism, the first purpose-built residential home for people with autism.

About The Charity
Community Chest is the fund-raising and engagement arm of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). With the aim to enable every individual to live with dignity within a caring and inclusive society, we support about 80 social service organisations to meet underserved, critical social needs. As our fundraising and operating costs are covered mainly by Tote Board Group, 100% of your contributions goes towards empowering the lives of those we serve.
Community Chest was established in 1983 with a simple yet vital mission - to raise funds for the many social service organisations of the nation. It is about raising funds from the community for the community in need.
Over the years, we have built an enduring trust and partnership with many organisations, foundations and individuals, enabling and empowering the social service users under our care to lead fulfilling lives.
