Our Campaign Story

ends 30 Sep 2020, 11:59 PM

My encounter with Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF) was a rather heart wrenching and personal one.

On September 2013, my elder son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL)when he was in his final year of Kindergarten education. Doctors informed us that if we had brought him in to the hospital late, we might lose him as his white blood cells level was too high. The doctors recommanded chemotherapy as it was the most effective treatment for ALL and our son need not have to go through a bone marrow transplant.

Since then, CCF's volunteers and staffs were very helpful. Together with the nurses, they were with us throughout my son's treatment. From counselling, setting play date, massage for parents to financial services, CCF has given us the support we needed.

As this pandemic has caused many disruptions and inconvenience to the families who are going through this difficult times, I feel that we should at the very least lend a helping hand to them. Thus, I am having this little fundraising campaign to bring hope to these warriors and their families. 100% of the gross donations will be donated to CCF.

About Campaign

COVID-19 has impacted all our lives. It has also cancelled CCF's annual public outreach event, Hair for Hope, this year. However, childhood cancer does not stop. In fact, our children and their families are facing greater challenges and needs as the coronavirus has impacted their resources and support systems.

Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF) invites you to hop on The Hope Train and embark on a meaningful journey from now till end September to raise childhood cancer awareness and a target of $1 million for children and families affected by cancer living in Hope Town!

You may also become our ambassador by participating and sharing these activities with your family and friends on your social media with our hashtag #CCFHopeTrain to help us raise awareness of the plight of children with cancer.

Your act of solidarity and kindness will mean the world to our beneficiaries and show them that they are not alone.
