We believe all good boys deserve a chance to live a healthy life. Please help good natured Old Max live out his grey years in the pink of health!
Old Max has been living on the streets for more than 7 years. Recently, his regular feeder found a huge maggot wound on his ear along with several other injuries, and decided to reach out to us for help when his condition did not improve after a week. We quickly brought him to the vet for a check-up. Although Old Max is relatively shy with humans and tends to be skittish even with his feeders, he was very gentle and obedient at the vet's and did not put up a struggle.
He was such a mild-tempered good boy that the nurses did not even have to sedate him to attend to his painful wounds. Not once did he growl at them or bare his teeth. He quietly endured the pain and allowed them to check and address his wounds without whining or struggling. Alas, not all good boys are rewarded in kind for their good behaviour. The biopsy from the vet has just revealed that poor Old Max has a tumor in his penis. The vet recommends that he gets treated with chemotherapy immediately.
We are now appealing to all kind souls to help Old Max undergo treatment for his tumor so that he can roam the streets freely as a healthy dog again. No amount is too small, and any contribution is greatly appreciated.
