Our Campaign Story
ends 15 Aug 2022, 11:59 PMThe National University of Singapore (NUS) Students' Union (NUSSU) RAG & FLAG is an annual NUS charity project organised by the NUS Students' Union since 1958, where NUS students and staff come together to welcome incoming freshmen and give back to the society. This year, NUSSU FLAG aims to raise $200,000 for 20 charity programmes under various Social Service Agencies (SSAs) from Community Chest (the National Council of Social Service Philanthropy and Engagement Arm). In addition to giving.sg donations, students also organise a series of volunteering events for our beneficiaries.
Community Chest ensures that every person has the opportunity to live a life of dignity within a caring and inclusive society. Their main focus is children with special needs, youth-at-risk, adults with disabilities, families, persons with mental health conditions and lower-income seniors. Community Chest will disburse your contributions to our engaged SSAs for them to plan higher-quality engagement sessions with their beneficiaries.
The RAG in NUSSU Rag & Flag Day is also known as the Receive and Give (RAG) Day. Our event strives to put up vibrant and purposeful performances by our students to raise more funds for our SSAs and show gratitude to our Singaporean community for supporting our fundraising efforts in Flag.
Special thanks to, and from, our 20 beneficiaries.
