Our Campaign Story

ends 21 Aug 2021, 11:59 PM

All funds raised will go to Community Chest before they are disbursed to the Social Service Agency (SSA) mentioned below after consideration of the programme objectives and financial needs of the SSA.

Our beneficiary, the Domestic Employees Welfare Fund (DEWF), helps distressed domestic employees who approach the Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE) for assistance. We believe that this Fund plays a vital role in giving our domestic employee community the necessary support to overcome the many hurdles, risks or hardships that they might encounter while working in Singapore.

Your generous donation will go towards funding the domestic employees with ex-gratia payments, subsistence allowances and repatriation costs when the circumstances warrant or in the event that employers have no means to fulfill their legal or employment-related responsibilities and obligations. It also goes towards providing them with temporary shelter, medical support, training, mediation and legal services, as well as promoting their social integration into Singapore.

The Fund was established in late 2016 by NTUC, is managed by an appointed Board of Trustees together with CDE, and is administered in accordance with the Charities Act. Please visit the link for more information: https://www.cde.org.sg/wps/portal/cde/home/aboutus/domesticemployeeswelfarefund

Thank you for contributing towards the well-being of our domestic employees in Singapore!
