NTU CAC Arts From The Heart is an annual event that encompasses carnival cum fun run element. It aims to gather the community together to raise funds and awareness for our selected beneficiary. This year, our selected beneficiary is the Singapore Cancer Society.
Besides being just a carnival cum fun run, there will be performances by our very own NTU CAC member clubs that features dance, singing to performing. With all these, we hope to make it a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone who will be attending our event. We hope you will join us to provide aid to the beneficiary in every possible way. About The Charity
Established in 1964, Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) is a self-funded voluntary welfare organisation which provides patient care services to needy cancer patients through its welfare, hospice home care, cancer treatment subsidy and rehabilitation support programmes. In addition, the Society also provides free cancer screening services and promotes cancer awareness and prevention through its public education and community outreach programmes.
For the past 56 years, SCS has extended support to over a hundred thousand beneficiaries through various services and programmes. The impactful programmes continue to contribute in SCS' four key strategic thrusts:
- To reduce the incidence of cancer
- To increase survival rates
- To improve the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors
- To rally the community to take proactive action and join the fight against cancer
