Our Campaign Story
ends 04 Aug 2023, 11:59 PMDuring the month of June, many colleagues and friends supported the NSHD FUNraising Campaign by getting either a cheesecake or coaster set. Funds raised went towards to the NSHD Alumni Fund, which supports the school's greatest needs including providing financial aid to students in need.
The highly raved cheesecakes were from The American Club and an option to purchase a cake to be donated to St. Joseph's Home (Nursing Home and Hospice) was included this year. There were also beautiful coasters handmade by Khong Boon, a young adult in his mid-twenties with moderate autism. Khong Boon had graduated from a special school a few years ago and is currently staying at home after unsuccessful attempts by his parents at enrolling him in sheltered workshops and Day Activity Centres due to behavioral struggles. To engage Khong Boon meaningfully at home, his mum started numerous art-related activities and one of them included designing beverage coasters.
NSHD would like to take this opportunity to thank all supporters of the campaign!

As part of SUSS annual Giving Day, the SUSS Better Together Challenge encourages the SUSS community to become agents of change and raise funds to support causes and programmes they care about. The event is also in support of President's Challenge*.
