Nini is a friendly, sweet girl who has spent much of her life living in an industrial estate. Our rescuer found her one day lying on the grass patch and couldn't move. She had sustained some injuries on the body which caused infection, resulting in her running a fever and going into shock. The Thai worker who helps to feed the dogs there said she has been sick for a week. Only when we were trying to put her onto a transport so that we can send her to a vet that an uncle from the nearby workshop informed us that she was hit by a car last week. The poor girl was left paralysed outside the workshop by herself, suffering in pain, without medical care for almost a week. Even in the poor state that she was in, unable to move and in pain, she lifted up her head and looked at me with her soulful eyes, pleading and in tears. We rushed her to the vet immediately and was told that she is suffering from spinal dislocation at the pelvic area. The only way to save her was a major surgery. While the surgery will give her a chance to walk again, the vet couldn't reconnect the nerve to her tail and amputation of the tail may have to take place later. The surgery bill is now at $9,700 and we are appealing for funds to cover her medical cost. If you can donate towards her medical bills, we are most grateful.
