Our Campaign Story
ends 31 Aug 2022, 11:59 PMMeet Regina, a Social Work Associate with the Canossian Family Care Services (CFCS). Started in 2021, CFCS seeks to better serve the community by focusing on the holistic wellbeing of families, especially their mental and emotional health.
In her work with CFCS, Regina was assigned to Aaron (not his real name), a student with hearing loss in Canossaville Preschool, and his family. Aaron's teachers had indicated that he had poor attendance at school. Upon speaking to his mother, Regina realised that his poor attendance was only a symptom of underlying problems. Aaron's mother shared that the family was facing multiple stressors, such as the lack of caregiving help for her nine children, a lack of consistent employment, and financial pressures from accrued arrears from household and medical bills. Regina sought to help Aaron and his family by dealing with the stressors one at a time.
In the short time that Regina has been working with Aaron, he has shown great progress in managing his hearing loss thanks to his improved attendance in school.
Your donations enable the work of our staff as Never-Ending Gifts to the children and their families under our care! Thank you!

Canossaville celebrates our 81st Anniversary this year and we thank all our supporters and donors for your GIFT that impacts the children and their families entrusted in our care.
Canossaville started as an orphanage on 15 August 1941 at Sallim Road, in response to the increasingly urgent need to serve the poor in the Geylang-Aljunied area.
Over the years, the Canossian Sisters and the children endured a war, relocation to Malaysia, expansion, and finally as Canossaville Children and Community Services today. Mother Foundress, St Magdalene, always said that we must change with the sign of the times. As such, Canossaville will continue to grow and strengthen our support for the children, families, and the communities.
The proceeds from this campaign will ensure that we continue to provide our essential programmes and services to our children and families from all races and faiths, persist in providing early intervention support for our children with hearing loss, and grow and expand our assistance to those in need.
Your GIFT today and support for our cause makes a world of difference.
Join us today and be a Never-Ending Gift!
Thank you!
