Our Campaign Story

Your GIFT creates real IMPACT!

Meet Michael (not his real name), a 10-year-old student enrolled in Canossaville Student Care (CSC).

Both his parents are blue-collared workers who work long hours to make ends meet, and by the time they reach home, have little to no time to guide Michael with his homework. Additionally, Michael has a language disorder which results in difficulties expressing himself and makes forming friendships a challenge, causing him to feel frustrated and sad.

At Canossaville Student Care, Michael is able to receive the essential support he needs for his studies. He also receives regular speech therapy to manage his language disorder and occupational therapy to assist in his organisational skills.

These therapeutic services offered by our Canossian Child Development Unit are at no additional costs to the families. We understand that such challenges put a strain not only on the children but on the whole family unit. We hope to transform their lives as Canossaville believes that every child deserves equal opportunities to succeed.

Your donations will enable us to positively impact the lives of children like Michael and his family. Thank you for being a Never-Ending Gift!

Canossaville celebrates our 81st Anniversary this year and we thank all our supporters and donors for your GIFT that impacts the children and their families entrusted in our care.

Canossaville started as an orphanage on 15 August 1941 at Sallim Road, in response to the increasingly urgent need to serve the poor in the Geylang-Aljunied area.

Over the years, the Canossian Sisters and the children endured a war, relocation to Malaysia, expansion, and finally as Canossaville Children and Community Services today. Mother Foundress, St Magdalene, always said that we must change with the sign of the times. As such, Canossaville will continue to grow and strengthen our support for the children, families, and the communities.

The proceeds from this campaign will ensure that we continue to provide our essential programmes and services to our children and families from all races and faiths, persist in providing early intervention support for our children with hearing loss, and grow and expand our assistance to those in need.

Your GIFT today and support for our cause makes a world of difference.

Join us today and be a Never-Ending Gift!

Thank you!

About The Charity

Canossaville Children and Community Services (Canossaville) runs Canossian Early Intervention Programme For Infants and Children (EIPIC), Canossaville Preschool, Canossaville Student Care and Canossian Child Development Unit in the Aljunied-MacPherson area.

Our programmes cater to both mainstream students, as well as those with hearing loss, giving priority to the poorest living in the lower income neighbourhoods. We are open to all faiths and races and every child is empowered to develop their God-given talents to the fullest.

Founded by the Canossian Sisters in 1941, Canossaville operates under the guidance of the Canossian Daughters of Charity. We are licensed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA). Canossaville is also an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC) and is authorised to receive tax-deductible donations.
