This Christmas, Sanctuary Care will attempt to reach out to three hundred children from low-income families. We estimate that a gift of $150 would provide 2 tins of milk powder and 4 packs of diaper for one child in the household to help sustain the family for up to a month. Your kind donation will also go towards supporting the logistics and operations involved in helping the families.
When money is tight, low income families find it hard to afford pricier necessities like diapers and formula milk. Some parents may ration diapers by changing their child's diapers less frequently. Leaving diapers on for too long often leads to diseases such as yeast infection, UTI and rashes. Some families also have no option but to resort to rationing food items such as formula milk as well. This has a negative impact on the child as lack of proper nutrition makes infants more prone to sickness.
Join us in our endeavour to bring joy and blessings to others! Your small change can make a BIG difference. So bring a dash of good cheer and support to families in need this Christmas!
About The Charity
Boys' Town is a charity founded by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel in 1948. We first began as a residential care for war-torn orphans, imparting education and life skills to them. Over the years, we have expanded to provide a continuum of services and become a one-stop children and youth centre. Boys' Town's services now include residential, fostering, youth outreach, adventure therapy, clinical intervention and family reunification.
Boys' Town serves both boys and girls, from infants to young adults. We help children and youth who come from disadvantaged and disengaged families who may have faced hardship resulting from difficult home situations, financial struggles, abandonment, and abuse. Each year, Boys' Town works with close to 600 children and youths.
With over 70 years dedicated to the social mission, Boys' Town equips the children and youths in need with the skills they need to become socially integrated, responsible and contributing members of society.
