Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Mar 2023, 11:59 PM

At MGS, we are proud to have a cherished 136-year heritage of serving and blessing the community. It is our hope that our founder Miss Sophia Blackmore's deep sense of purpose is imbued in all MGS girls during their educational journey in this school.

In the fragmented and complex world of today, the biggest deficit is in finding meaning that guides, anchors and provides our students with stability, direction and resilience. We want to help our girls to thrive with purpose in their formative years and foster enduring relationships and future-ready competencies. The MGS Education is about learning for life, living well with purpose, growing as a person and contributing as a citizen.

For Methodist Walk 2023, our target of $300,000 will go towards school programmes and campus improvement works. Excess funds will be channelled towards the school's Intergenerational Learning programme and outreach efforts.

In line with our school's theme 'Here, for a Purpose', we hope this fund-raising event will support our work in nurturing MGS girls in being and becoming Godly women of Excellence with a heart of Love, as we embrace our purpose anchors of MGLearns and MGServes together as one community.

The MGS ethos and institution is a strong one today because of the stewardship and belief in the MGS mission of many - our staff, parents, alumnae, students, partners and supporters. Through your contribution, you will help shape generations of MGS girls to Master, to Grow and to Serve.
