Our Campaign Story
ends 07 Aug 2018, 11:59 PMBeing (very) sick or having a long-term illness can be very physically/mentally torturing for most of us. In addition, not being able to access to any healthcare/treatment when your pockets are almost empty make everything worse. If you are like me, who experienced illness &/or seen people like your family members/friends suffered from poor health, then I will know you'll be willing give to this cause. Any amount is alright so long it is within your limit and the heart that cares which is the most important. The power of everyone contributing a little will allows more to get treated at a very cost. Being able to give is a special feeling. Give - even when you had little. Abundance in life will starts from now on. Cheers.
About The Charity
SBFC provides subsidized health care services for the sick and needy. We operate eight TCM clinics in Singapore with about 40 certified practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our employees comprising mainly clinic assistants, clerks and administrative staff, provide services and support to our patients. Our patients received 290 thousand times of free consultation during latest year. Our estimated annual operating cost is about $7.5 million fully supported by public donations/government grants. We have TCM Cancer Treatment Centre at the Main Clinic, Sembawang and Tampines Branch. In addition, SBFC also provides Counselling Services at the Main Clinic, Tanjong Pagar and Tampines Branch, taking care of the emotional and psychological well-being of the public.
Our regular fundraising activities, such as Fun Fair, Flag Day and Walkathon, were cancelled being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We earnestly appeal everyone to donate generously, in the spirit of fraternal friendship to support our free TCM services.
All qualifying donations to the medical fund are tax deductible 2.5 times and will be submitted to IRAS by SBFC. Please provide your Name in English and NRIC or Company Name and UEN to qualify for tax exemption.
