Update: Thank you to all donors for your support! Due to the extended Circuit Breaker period, we are raising the fundraising target to S$50,000 which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Maybank, so that we can help more people in need of the donated meals.
Maybank is raising funds for the Food Bank - Feed the City campaign, to support local F&B businesses and provide food for people in need during this crisis. Donations collected via our Giving.sg page will be matched by Maybank, up to the target of S$50,000. Our goal is to fund 20,000 meals, and we need your help!
Together, we can feed the city. #SGUnited.
Our supported F&B partners:
The coronavirus outbreak has affected many, including local F&B businesses who have experienced a plunge in footfall. Survival is especially challenging during this time, and the livelihoods of workers in this sector have been affected with many experiencing a loss of income. At the same time, there are people amongst us who are in need of meals due to the disruptions that COVID-19 brought.
The Food Bank Singapore is committed to take on the crucial role during such uncertain times to continuously provide food to vulnerable communities and remain fully operational to ensure no one gets left behind. Through Feed the City (Take-Away Edition), we also hope to give F&B retailers that are badly hit a fighting chance of surviving COVID-19.
Feed the City also partners Eat for Good, a collaborative initiative by NVPC's Company of Good that aims to bring stakeholders in the food and dining space together to make doing good a part of daily encounters. (https://www.companyofgood.sg/story/276)

About The Charity
The Food Bank Singapore acquires donated food from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, and makes it available to those in need through a network of member beneficiaries.
The Food Bank Singapore was set up by Nichol and Nicholas Ng, a pair of siblings running a food distribution business, FoodXervices Inc Pte Ltd. After observing the food industry for more than a decade, they realised the need for a food bank in Singapore. Founded in 2012, we were given charity status in 2012 and IPC status in 2015.
Our mission is TO END FOOD INSECURITY IN ALL FORMS in Singapore.
We now have a total of 360 member beneficiaries that includes:
Family Service Centres (FSCs)
Senior Activity Centres (SACs)
Various types of homes (Nursing Homes, Children's Homes, Halfway houses)
Other voluntary welfare organizations (VWOs) and registered charities
