Our Campaign Story

ends 17 Jul 2020, 11:59 PM

Affected by the COVID-19 situation, Food From The Heart has seen drastic drops in cash and food donations. They need 80,000 food items each month to help less-fortunate families supported by the Community Food Pack programme.

We seek your generous support in Making a Difference for the affected families during these difficult times!

Food for thought: Most of us have been working from home for the past few months and have saved on transport costs. Why not Make a Difference by donating the savings? :)

About Campaign

Every one of us is affected by the current Covid-19 situation. No one is spared. The needy is hit even harder now. As a charity, we are not spared either. We have seen drastic drops in cash and food donations. Every month, we need 80,000 food items to feed the our affected families Food from the Heart is supporting monthly under the Community Food Pack Programme. Your donations cannot stop. Our work continues. This is to assure the needy of food on their table three meals a day. Donate generously to buy food items to help fill our food packs. Together, let's feed the needy in these tough times!

*Note: FFTH applies 12.5% of your donation to keep our operations going.

About The Charity

Food from the Heart is a charity founded in February 2003 by Singapore-based Austrian couple Henry and Christine Laimer, who were inspired to channel surplus food from bakeries to families in need after they read an article about bread wastage.

Today, Food from the Heart is Singapore's foremost independent food charity with IPC status that makes a tangible and meaningful contribution to fighting hunger through bread rations and food packs. With the support of donors, food industry partners and more than 10,000 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 53,700 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$6.35 million worth of food in 2020.

To alleviate hunger by providing reliable, consistent and sustainable food support to the less-fortunate through food distribution programmes.
