Our Campaign Story

ends 15 May 2023, 11:59 PM

Meet Anne (not her real name), a Primary 2 student in Canossaville Student Care (CSC).

Anne comes from a single parent family and relies on her aunt to meet their daily needs. During a social worker's visit to her home, it was observed that she does not have a conducive environment to support her learning and development.

Beyond homework supervision, Canossaville Student Care (CSC) offers a safe and structured environment for learning and play, especially for those from challenging and vulnerable family backgrounds.

At CSC, Anne was provided with the support that she needs and receives additional help for both Math and English. While it took some time for Anne to adjust to the routines and make friends, she continued to attend CSC regularly through the encouragement of her father, teachers, and social workers. Today, with her cheerful disposition, she made many friends and looks forward to attending CSC.

Canossaville believes that every child, regardless of their family background, deserves equal opportunities to succeed. Your donations will enable us to positively impact the lives of children like Anne.

About Campaign

Thanks to the support from Tote Board, every dollar donated to this campaign will be matched with an additional 40% and will go towards supporting Canossaville's Making A Difference (M.A.D) Fund 2023.
Canossaville is a social service agency in MacPherson supporting typically developing children and those with hearing loss and learning needs from birth to 12 years old by providing them an inclusive environment for learning and play. With the first option for the poor, provide extra support for the vulnerable families in our community through social and psychological aid.

Regardless of their family circumstances or their conditions, we strive to build an inclusive environment for these children, and ensure that our programmes are accessible to all.

For infants and young children with hearing loss, wearing hearing aids and having cochlear implants is just the beginning of the journey. Children with hearing loss need more intense and intentional intervention with support from trained therapists and teachers.
