Little Draws 2015
by Peter Draw
Our Campaign Storyends 31 Dec 2015, 11:59 PM
In Dec 2007, I drew non-stop for 24 hours without food, rest or toilet break. I hurt my fingers and I thought to myself what if one day I can't draw anymore. I love the idea of how from day one, it was always about the younger generation and I love the idea that if we believe in the future, then we must believe in young people.
In 2011, I had the opportunity to bring this dream to life. The idea is "Little Draws"
Little versions of Peter Draw, drawing portraits to put a smile onto someone elses faces.
The vision for little draw is that one day, a child who puts one a red sweater would believe they could draw and change the world like Peter Draw. (Similar to how a child puts on a red cape on their back and believe they could save the world like Superman)
Little Draws have already raised over $10,000 for charities in Singapore, bringing their love to beautiful spaces at ION Orchard, Somerset 313, Sembawang Shopping Centre, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and National Museum of Singapore.
Holistic Programme for Enrichment
Nearly 70% of our children in the after school care programme (BASIC), are from needy and vulnerable families, often with financial difficulties and limited opportunities.
BASIC hopes to help by conducting programmes for our children:
1) Motivation (Before Exam Periods)
2) Zumba / Pilates / Yoga for healthy development
3) Leadership Programs for Graduating Children (Year-end programme)
4) Baking Programmes
5) Water Carnival (Holiday programme to learn water safety and water sports)
6) Inline Skating, Horse Riding (Holiday programme)
We hope to give our children opportunities to learn, expose them to different experiences, allowing them to enrich their lives, experiencing things which they otherwise might never have.
