Our Campaign Story

ends 31 Dec 2021, 11:59 PM

this year was announced as the year of celebrating SG women - how did i not hear of it earlier? personal reflections aside, 2021 kept surfacing issues of caregivers and women in my life, and thought it'd only be apt if i use my birthday fundraiser to give back to low-income women as well.

i've never volunteered or supported daughters of tomorrow directly in any way until today, but have always been drawn to their mission of supporting low-income women in getting gainful employment, and i love how they've done it - building up confidence in women, supporting their childcare needs through community networks, working with caring employers to provide job opportunities etc.

having spent the pandemic going for early morning walks and hikes with my mum and thinking through what it would take for her to join the workforce again to spend her golden years, such issues only resonate stronger with me. to cap off the year of celebrating SG women, i hope you contribute to my birthday fundraiser and give your mamas a big thank you hug :)
